Aluminium Centre building based on Aerospace technology
The Aluminium Centre represents an unusual degree of collaboration between design  and industry such as aerospace. The 14 meter long triangular roof trusses, for instance, were assembled from extruded tubular aluminium chords and cast aluminium nodes glued together with aerospace technology. Also the strategy of using many small structural elements rather than few large ones is borrowed from aircraft design.
